The Situation
A mid-market property management company had been a long-time client of Kazmarek Technology Solutions, but had been operating on a time and materials model. Following some internal changes, the client believed they were ready to make the change to a more proactive approach, and requested that a cyber-security assessment be performed.

A long-term time and materials client approached KTS about taking their support from reactive to proactive. To that end, the first step was to analyze deficiencies in their infrastructure and security posture and determine how best to remediate them.

Gap Analysis
Although we were familiar with the client, our gap analysis still uncovered some substantial gaps in their security posture, which we set about rectifying. To address external threats, we configured next-gen antivirus, multi-factor authentication, and a secure password manager. Internally, KTS implemented security awareness training so that employees were empowered to spot malicious emails, attempts at social engineering, and were better able to protect themselves and our client from bad actors.
