Issue No. 79February 2019
Microsoft SQL 2008
End Of Support Coming
On July 9, 2019, support for SQL Server 2008 and 2008 R2 will end. Since this is only a few months away, we wanted to give all of you a heads up.
What does this mean for you?
End of support means the end of regular security updates for SQL 2008 and SQL 2008 R2. So, given that there are no more security updates, this will be an open vulnerability. Don’t let your infrastructure and applications go unprotected. As always, our team is here to help you strategize on best migration paths to more current versions of SQL for greater security and performance. You will want to get a plan in place and have this completed before July 9th.
