New Account Manager Joins the KTS Team

Kazmarek Technology Solutions is excited to announce the addition of a new member to our team, Eric Backsen. Eric will be serving as senior account manager, using his Microsoft network and product sales knowledge to identify value-added opportunities for new and existing clients.
 
Previously, Eric worked as a tele-partner account manager (TPAM) for Microsoft, working with 30 Microsoft partners in the Southern California and Pacific West regions. As a TPAM, Eric developed an extensive understanding of Microsoft technologies and how to best license them. He looks forward to helping your company turn IT complexity into simplicity, ensuring that you receive the most from your investment.

3 Ways To Get the Most From Your Smartphone

  1. Mobile ‘push’ email. Most users prefer their email delivered to their smartphone as it arrives, instead of at timed intervals. Push email is a feature of Microsoft Exchange server, which uses ActiveSync technology to provide real time access to your email. Many smartphones are compatible with Microsoft ActiveSync, and there are other email services such as Gmail and Yahoo! Mail that support push email.
  2. GPS. Many smartphones have built-in GPS units, so you can easily get directions from the road. This is a big time saver, especially for people who travel–even locally.  There are many smartphone applications that utilize the built-in GPS to provide specific information to you based upon your current location, including restaurant recommendations, detailed directions and maps.
  3. Calendar, address book, and task list organized in real time.When your company uses Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, you can use the Active Sync feature. That means, for example, if someone updates a contact in Outlook at your office, that change will be reflected in real time on your smartphone.
